WHEEL TUBE /2
/5 and POSSIBLY OTHER WHEELS WITH TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS
Tube to aid in removing the wheel bearings, and to pre-load them
while checking for correct spacer length. Shown in picture #169
in my copy of the /2 BMW manual and BMW tool # 553 for /5. |

WHEEL
BEARING GREASER 1970-1984 EXCEPT R65LS
To grease the tapered roller wheel bearings used until 1984
without removing them from the wheel. I was finally talked into
making this tool even though I think it important that the
bearings be visually inspected occasionally. After 1984 BMW used
“sealed” ball bearings |

WHEEL
BEARING PULLER (Some 1977-198? Wheels) and 1955 to 1984
SWING-ARM BEARING PULLER
For various cast wheels such as R60/7 R75/7 1978-85 R65 R80GS
R80ST 1977-84 R100RT R100RS and any place else BMW or
Kukko puller 00 8 551 is called
for.
It also
removes and installs the outer race and stock grease seal of the
front (1955-69 Earles) and rear
(1955-1984) tapered roller bearings used on all dual (not
mono) shock BMW's.
We’ve
also been told that it is a correct fit for the swing arm pivot
bearings on the Moto Guzzi and would
probably cover anything from a V700 thru V11 California model. |

HUB NUT
REMOVER BODY /2 /6 /7 and OTHERS
and also URAL
This will remove the hub nut from any /2, some pre /2, /6 /7,
R100S & RS (not the R60/6 or R80/7) and some Urals to allow
regreasing of the wheel bearings. It's designed to work even
when some bozo has gouged those four holes on the nut. You will
also need a pin set. |
$33
(1.6 lb.) |
|
Pin set for
/2. also fits those Urals with diagonal pin hole spacing of
46mm (1.81 inch) |

FRONT END
ALIGNMENT TOOLS:
ALL TELESCOPIC BIKES, EVEN NON BMW
This is a group of tools used to insure your fork tubes are both
straight and parallel. When they are, more of the force from
road bumps gets soaked up by the hydraulic fluid and not
transmitted by binding fork tubes and stiction to the rider.
Instruction sheet with any alignment tool below: |

|
V-blocks and
dial indicator holder (also used to true pre 1970 crankshafts)
to check for bent fork tubes. You will need threaded rods and a
dial indicator, see below. |

Threaded

hardware store at $1-$2 each or from me (I don’t want to ship
them). |

this application, but I just want to handle one model for this
and engine work 1 inch range. |

Dial

able to use it to determine if the fork tubes are parallel (side
to side). |

SHOCK
COMPRESSOR /2 /5 /6
This is used to get at worn shocks on the front of /2 and rear
of /5 & /6. Also included is a tool for unscrewing front and
rear /2 shocks from their seats. Replaces Matra 5094 and Dowidat
No.31-10. |

SHOCK CAP
WRENCH 1955-69 SINGLES AND TWINS
This is for the aluminum cap at the top of the rear shocks that
can sometimes be difficult to remove. Over time the threads
inside the cap become frozen to the shock rod, and both rotate
when you try to unscrew the cap. This should help. |
$29 |
MULTI PIN
BODY /2 /5 /6 /7 R26 R27
To adjust the rear swingarm pivot pins on /2’s where it replaces
Matra 513, remove the front fork filler caps on US/2 /5 /6 and
/7, and both types of threaded rings used in the bottom of the
telescopic forks. |

HEAD BEARING
PULLER 1970-1995 AIRHEADS AND WE THINK all K BIKES
To remove the difficult to get at outer races of all airhead
head (steering) bearings. |

SWINGARM
LOCKNUT SOCKET 1970-?
There is not enough space for a conventional socket to
loosen/tighten the swingarm pivot pin locknut, and the tool
provided in the toolkit won’t tighten the nut to the required
torque. I have modified a conventional socket to fit. |
