CRANKSHAFT TRUING STAND PRE-1970

For real hard core mechanics only. You use it to measure the crank runout when you are truing it or if you dropped it on the floor. It will also measure the clearance between the connecting rod and the crank pin. You will need a AGD type dial indicator with it.
NOTE: New connecting rod and pin clearance is about .0001” (.0025mm). Reasonable used ones have about .0004-.0006” (.01-.015mm) clearance. Depending on the oil viscosity, engine temperature etc.; and due to the general quietness of these engines, I think rods will start to make an audible knocking noise with a clearance of about .0012” (.03mm).
